As a logical extension to our range of radiation shielding wall lining products we now offer an IMPACT BOARD for vandal and intruder prevention. The IMPACT BOARD is used in non-load bearing dry wall applications where security is required. Applications where IMPACT BOARD can be used are court holding cells, police stations, corrective services, schools, hospitals, public building and the list goes on. In addition the IMPACT BOARD can be used for EMF shielding in telephone exchanges, embassies and any place where EMF is a concern.

IMPACT BOARD is manufactured from a single sheet of fibre cement (F.C.) and bonded to a sheet of steel, usually galbond, and is fixed direct to metal or timber framing. Double sided IMPACT BOARD is also available with fibre cement sheets bonded to each face of the steel sheet. Standard thickness for the fibre cement sheeting is either 6mm or 9mm, while the steel sheet is 0.9mm or 1.9mm.

Standard sheet width is 1200mm while standard length is 2400mm. Contact us for other sizes as we can cut to suit your application.

Cutting on site is possible with an electric saw with diamond blade and depending on number of cuts allow for replacement blades.

Fixing is as with normal fibre cement sheeting but allow for additional fixing points due to increased sheet weight.
