WALL LINING - RADIATION SHIELDING
The following types of leadlined wall lining materials are available:
- 13mm gypsum board (gyprock, plasterboard)
Gypsum - Sheet length to 3000mm x 1200mm. Lead
adhesively bonded to 2100mm with lead overlap of 20mm on one long edge.
Lead gauge limited to 10kg (.88mm) due to strength limitations of
gypsum and paper substrate.
- 13mm CSR Impact plasterboard
Impact - Sheet length 3000mm x 1200mm. Lead
adhesively bonded to 2100mm with lead overlap of 20mm on one long edge.
For 15kg - 25kg Lead gauge (>0.88 - 2.2mm lead)
- 9mm fibrecement (villaboard or wallboard) sheet with lead bonded to one face.
FC Sheet - Sheet length up to 3000mm, edges recessed
for setting tape. Lead adhesively bonded to 2100mm with lead overlap of
20mm on one long edge. With heavier lead gauges packing may be required
to obtain flat wall.
- MDF panel with lead bonded to one side.
MDF- Panel cut to 2100 x 1200mm with rebate on both
2100 sides to accept 50mm wide lead joining strip. Lead adhesively
bonded and set with 200 tonne hydraulic press.
N.B. Lead can be bonded to other materials to customised specifications. Please contact us for more information.
All our products are custom made to order. Allow 1-2 weeks
delivery ex Sydney for wall lining. We are qualified to Certify
our materials and can provide tagging for same.

PROTECTION OF PENETRATIONS
Flash on other skin of wall. Ensure
that flashing extends more than 2 x skin spacing in all directions from
penetrations. For large penetrations refer to Radiation Services Group for advice.
